Freight for DTC brands: pallets to Amazon, 3PLs and retail

GET Express runs freight for DTC brands once inventory moves on pallets: from the manufacturer or an importer’s warehouse to your 3PL, an Amazon fulfillment center or a retailer’s distribution center.

Your first pallets

Outgrowing parcel?

A production run is ready, the 3PL wants it by Friday, and Amazon has an appointment window of its own. That is no longer a stack of parcel labels. It is freight.

It is also usually nobody’s job. The factory ships from its dock and stops there. The 3PL only receives. We take it in between: LTL for a few pallets, volume LTL or a truckload for a full run, appointments booked, paperwork right, and one person answering for all of it.

New to freight? Start with how to ship a pallet.

1

Inventory ready

At the manufacturer, an importer’s warehouse or your own space. Tell us where and when it can be picked up.

2

Pallets built to the receiver’s rules

Pallet count, sizes, weights and class, built and labeled the way the receiving warehouse asks.

3

Delivered, to spec

3PL, Amazon or retail DC, each on its own appointment and receiving rules, with updates to you until the POD is in hand.

Brand questions

Quick answers

How do ecommerce brands ship pallets to a 3PL?

Book LTL from wherever the inventory sits to the 3PL’s dock. Build the pallets to the 3PL’s receiving rules, book the delivery appointment, and send the 3PL the pallet count and bill of lading before the truck arrives. A few pallets go LTL; a full production run goes volume LTL or truckload.

Can you ship pallets to Amazon FBA?

Yes. Amazon sets its own pallet, labeling and appointment rules in Seller Central, so build to those, and we book the freight to the fulfillment center.

When should a DTC brand switch from parcel to freight?

When inventory moves in bulk to one warehouse instead of one order at a time to a customer. Price both on your own carton count and lane: we quote the pallet side, and your parcel account prices the rest.

Do you follow a retailer’s routing guide?

Yes. Send the routing guide with the order, and we book the delivery to its carrier, appointment and paperwork rules.

Production run ready?

Freight for DTC brands starts with three facts: where the inventory is, how many pallets, and which warehouse is receiving.
