A freight broker in New York for LTL and truckload

GET Express is a freight broker in New York, based in Great Neck on Long Island. We quote, book and track LTL and truckload freight from the New York area to the rest of the country, and back again.

Who is GET Express?

GET Express (GET EXPRESS CORP.) is a U.S. freight brokerage at 6 Grace Ave, Suite 300, Great Neck, NY 11021. It is an authorized GlobalTranz agent. GlobalTranz holds the FMCSA broker authority, MC-501299.

We own no trucks. We match each shipment to a carrier in the GlobalTranz network of 75+ LTL and 45,000+ truckload carriers, then stay on it until it delivers. One person handles your freight from quote to delivery.

What we ship in and out of New York

  • LTL: roughly 1 to 6 pallets that share a trailer.
  • Full truckload: a dedicated dry van, reefer or flatbed.
  • Volume and partial truckload: loads too big for LTL and too small for a full truck.
  • Expedited and hot shot: a van or straight truck, direct to the door.

Where we pick up and deliver around New York

We cover the five boroughs, Nassau and Suffolk counties, Westchester and northern New Jersey, including warehouses near the Port of New York and New Jersey. Freight from those pickups can go anywhere in the continental United States.

What makes New York freight different

Four things change the plan or the price here, so give us the full address before we quote.

  • 53-foot trailers. NYC DOT limits 53-foot trailers to the parts of I-95, I-695, I-295 and I-495 that cross the city. A truckload going to an address inside the five boroughs usually needs a shorter trailer, and we order it up front.
  • Truck routes and parkways. Trucks and commercial vehicles cannot use most New York City parkways, and the city has nearly 1,000 miles of designated truck routes. Drivers stay on those routes, which can add time.
  • No dock. Many city stores and buildings have no loading dock. That means a liftgate and often a delivery appointment. Tell us first and both go on the quote.
  • Imports. Containers landing at the Port of New York and New Jersey get drayed to a warehouse and unloaded. We run the domestic leg from there.
